In the corners of my mind
shadows use to play
till you brought the sun
and took them all away.
illuminated by your smile
I see the world anew
I feel close to heaven
when I look at you.
But heaven is worlds away
somewhere beyond the blue
and holding heaven in my arms
I know I’ll never do.
Its alright I’ll be okay
not having you to hold
this love it may be new
but my heart is very old.
If only for a moment
I stood there in your sun
It was enough to feel
I fought the dark and won.
